Fighting Cancer, One Game at a Time!
Things with the group are going great. We continue to raise money for the cause and that is going well. We have a tournament planned for November to finish out the fundraising efforts. We will likely get to around $7,000 once it’s all said and done. Every penny counts, so if you read this and think you can help us out, please contact us.
Since I last posted, the men’s team took second in it’s last two tournaments, the Softball World Cup Series Finals and the Labor Day Classic at Softball World. We have one tournament left until we finish the season out in Las Cruces, New Mexico at the Whole Enchilada Tournament.
The Coed team finally got back together to continue the season this past Saturday. We lost our first game, but then rattled off four straight wins to finish a respectable fourth in the Tournament. Our next tournament is the last weekend of September in Carrollton for the State Tournament. We’re feeling good about where we are right now and look forward to finishing the year out strong.
The first thing you should do is read the About Us page so that you can get a good feel for who we are and what we are doing. The Blog will simply be a tool in our mission to make a difference doing something that we all love. You'll catch all sorts of news and information on the blog. Generally speaking, you'll hear all about the great things we are doing on and off the field of play this year. If you want to shoot us a donation. The link is available just to the right. The goal is to raise several thousand dollars by the time the 3 Day Walk comes to Dallas on November 7. Thanks in advance for your help and dedication to this cause.
